Creating Proposals from Job Cards and Measurements
In this segment, you’ll learn how to create a proposal from a job card or measurement.
Lesson progress
Once you have a new lead or measurement, you can create a proposal from a template in minutes. Pricing will be calculated by your catalog and measurement information, and automatically calculated in the proposal.
REMINDER: You can build your catalog yourself, or our implementation team can help or do it for you! They can also get you set up with some basic templates, including multi-option proposals. Click HERE to visit our implementation landing page, book a live training session, or connect with our implementation team one on one.
Now that your catalog and templates are set up, you can easily send proposals to customers in minutes.
Create a Proposal From a Job Card
One way to create a proposal is from a job card. This is the way we recommend.
When a new lead comes into your job board, you can open up the job card, then click the blue plus on the top right to create a proposal.
Create a Proposal from a Measurement
If a measurement is already done for that job, you can use it to craft a proposal,
or you can create it without a measurement.
Select the measurement you want to use. Once you select how you want to create it, it'll prompt you to select your template. There you can see the templates we've created.
Editing a Proposal
Now your proposal editing screen will automatically open up in the estimate section so you can see:
- Materials
- Subtotals
- Upgrades available
- A breakdown of subtotal, tax, and total
This will be pre-populated if you selected a template.
Editing Proposal Covers
If you go to the main cover, you should see that the customer's info was added to the front, along with the proper date.
Pro Tip! Add a photo of the customer's house from your device, company cam, or take a screenshot from a street view on your computer, and add some extra personalization here.
Add a Co-Signer
If you need to add an additional signer, like the second decision maker or spouse, you can add them in by clicking on cosigner and add cosigner at the top left of the estimate page.
Now you're ready to preview your estimate and send it to your customer.
