Introducing Job Cards! This is your one stop place to store everything you need about each job from lead to payment. Upload files, create tasks, tag team members in internal notes, email or text customers, order materials, create invoices, order reports, create proposals, collect payments, and much more.

Now, let's dive into job cards. Each individual job added to Roofr creates a job card, which is included right on your job board. Job cards can be created manually by clicking the New Job button, importing important jobs from CompanyCam, or automatically through your Roofr Instant 📍 Estimator. New jobs are also automatically created if you choose to create a proposal or by ordering a measurement report, Before creating a job card, but we always recommend creating a job card first. Job cards are your one stop shop for managing each individual opportunity that comes in. These cards are specifically designed to give you an overview of each customer and their projects. You can click the Download Attachment button below this video to get an annotated one pager of a job card, so you can see all the features at a glance. 📍 Don't forget, in your settings, you can choose whether you want the customer name or job address to be the main feature of your job card. Aside from the customer name and address, job cards will show you how long they've been in the stage, When they were last updated, who they are assigned to, how many tasks are within that job card, how many tasks have been completed, report status, and proposal status. All of these top level items are available at a quick glance, allowing you to see if cards are moving through stages quickly enough, and how your processes are being followed. Clicking on a job card opens the job record. This is where your team can really lean into the power of processes. Job cards are the brain of your operation. You can manually change assignees. Job Stages, Lead Sources, Job Values, and Details. You can also leave internal notes for team members and create and assign job tasks with due dates, such as creating a proposal or sending an invoice. This ensures that the ball is never dropped, and that you can trust your team to get the job done in a timely manner. It also ensures your process is scalable. And easy to learn for any new hires, while keeping seasoned employees accountable for the required steps. You can view where or how the job card was created in the right hand updates panel. This keeps you in control, so you know exactly who did what on your team and when. Depending on your subscription plan, you can also send emails and SMS texts to your customers or team members with a click, keeping your customers always in the loop. You can create and view every measurement report, proposal, material order, and invoice you build using Roofr tools related to the job. You can view those here so you never have to go digging for important documents again. Consider it your launchpad to move customers through the sales process. You'll also have access to open your job cards while you're creating a proposal, material order, or invoice, allowing you to quickly access important job information, but we'll get into that in more detail in another lesson. When used properly, these cards become your source of truth for each job. There's no need to save emails in a spreadsheet or keep files with customer names and emails. If you have any external files, such as job images or external documents, Those can be uploaded in the attachments section of the job card. All your job activity lives here. Keeping all customer info in one place is powerful for your business. You can take action on their account, view current job status, and see their history all in one place. You won't need to worry about lost customer notes, unaccounted for emails or phone calls. Or tasks slipping through the cracks.
