Lesson progress
In this video, Matt reviews how to add attachments to job cards within the Roofr platform. Attachments can include inspection notes, photos, contracts, and other documents to keep job information organized. He covers how to organize attachments into folders, sort and filter, and search within your files. Discover the importance of attachments for team collaboration and how you can use job attachments when building proposals.
Next we're going to talk about adding attachments to job cards. The types of attachments you may want to include on a job card could be:
- Inspection notes or photos
- Post-production photos
- Third party contracts for the job
- Anything else.
Being able to add attachments to jobs is another great way to keep your Roofr account organized and all info about a job in one place.
How to add an attachment to a job card
To add an attachment, you'll open up the job card from your job board. You can do this by clicking attachments on the top menu or scroll down. You can organize all of your attachments with folders. For example, create one folder for inspection photos, another one for post repair or installation photos.
You can also just upload individual files and not use folders depending on how many attachments you have. This might be easier for your team. Upload a file by clicking either the blue upload button next to the folder button or by clicking on the upload attachments area. Under that space, you can also drag and drop files into this space to upload them.
Sort and filter attachments
Once you have files uploaded, you can sort them by date, uploaded size or file name. You can filter it by file type. If you're looking for PDFs or just want to view images, you can also use the search bar to find a specific item. Items you add to your job card will be available when you're building a proposal, so if you upload inspection photos, you can view those photos when building your proposal and add them into a photo page.
Again, attachments are a great way to keep all info about a job in one place and simplify things for your team. If one person from your team adds photos, then another can easily access it and know exactly what job it's for, because it's in the job card.
File types that can and cannot be added as an attachment
PDFs, JPEGs, spreadsheets, presentation slides, and docs are all file types that can be added.
Video, for example, isn't supported.
The number of files you can add is limited by your account type. You can visit roofr.com/pricing for the latest up-to-date info on subscription plan allowances. Now, imagine you add a task to upload photos and automate it to create that task when you schedule an inspection.
Now we're getting into time savings and the power of Roofr.
